I joined the company in 2014, just one year after the platform launched. Since 2020, I have served as the head of sales at AdsCompass, and prior to that, I worked as the head of the media advertising department for five years. Having worked at the same company for over 10 years allows me to see things that a shorter tenure wouldn't reveal: which formats have survived, in which regions prices have changed, and how much an advertiser's perception of a fair price differs from a publisher's perception for the same ad impression.
How the Inventory Side Feeds the Sales Side
My years in the media advertising department showed me how traffic actually reaches a user. Each format reaches them at a different moment and in a different place on the page, and that is what decides how a campaign performs - not the price on the rate card.
As Head of Sales I see the other end of it. Advertisers come with a budget and a decision to make; publishers come with inventory and the same problem from the opposite side. Both are pricing the same auction, and knowing what each of them will accept is what makes a bid recommendation worth something.
Topics Covered
- How a particular type of traffic works on the platform. What the ad format actually buys, what types of offers it's suitable for, where it fits into the auction, and how much it costs to launch. The mechanics matter more than the name: two ad formats sold at similar prices can perform completely differently once a campaign is launched.
- Factors that determine campaign effectiveness. Minimum bids and winning prices, targeting and filtering, control at the traffic source level, moderation, payment methods, integrations, and postbacks. Most guides overlook these points and instead focus on describing the format itself.
- Compliance with regulatory requirements as an operational constraint. Moderation rules, age restrictions, and geographic restrictions determine what kind of campaign can be launched and where exactly.
Industry Events
Industry events are a standing part of the role. Recent seasons have included partner meetings at the AdsCompass booth at SiGMA Dubai 2024 and Affiliate World Asia 2023, and across 2025 at SiGMA, Affiliate World Europe, SBC Summit and TES. The schedule shifts every year, and the AdsCompass team announces where the booth will be ahead of each event.
